This summer sees the launch of a host of new Reiss stores across the globe, and today it’s Nice, France that has been added to our portfolio. To find out more about the inspiration behind the store concept and take a closer look at how the sketches turned into a reality, we spoke with the d-raw architect behind the creation, Dorrien Hopley.

This summer marks the start of a host of Reiss store openings across the globe, and first on the list is a second Toronto location at Sherway Gardens. As with the original Canada store, Hudson Bay, it was Reiss Creative Director James Spreckley and interiors agency, d-raw who worked to develop the design from concept to reality, capturing the label’s sleek, clean-cut aesthetic within its four walls.
The Reiss Sherway Gardens store opened on the 5th May 2016 is located at 25 The West Mall, Toronto, Ontario, M9C 1B8

It’s so easy to conform to what we consider to be traditional ‘wedding guest’ outfits as soon as the invites arrive, but is that the best way to go about approaching occasionwear? Who better to ask for advice than Anna Vitiello and Florrie Thomas, the fashion experts and creative duo behind the Instagram account, &Finally, for their thoughts on the topic? Whether you’re heading to a beach wedding, a city ceremony or have received an evening invite, this curation will help you think outside the box when it comes to accessorising.
The jumpsuit has well and truly secured its position as an evening hero, sometimes even rivaling the dress when it comes to stand-out style after hours. Recent seasons, however, have seen its relevance expand across a host of occasions. Whether you’re a committed fan or are yet to experiment with the look, now is the time to think outside the box and bring the one-piece right to the forefront of your everyday rotation. We look a little closer at the SS16 collection and how best to style each look for now.
We ventured over to Toronto last week where figures from the Canadian fashion industry gathered at the Cluny bistro and boulangerie to enjoy a taste of what’s to come from Reiss for AW16.
It wasn’t only the clothes that guests hungrily pored over though. Invitees dined from a three course menu (putting paid to that nagging rumour that fashion people simply pick unenthusiastically at canapés) and drank bespoke cocktails as talk swiftly turned to who wanted what for next season.
See how the dinner unfolded below.
Planned and curated over a six month timeline, Poolside is one of the Getty Image gallery’s biggest exhibits of the year. The presentation celebrates the work of one of the most influential magazine photographers of the 50s, 60s and 70s, Slim Aarons, and it presents an idea of escapism that links perfectly with the start of the summer season. We caught up with the gallery manager, Anthony Gammell to talk through the exhibit that inspired the Reiss SS16 swimwear designs.
Poolside can be found at Getty Images Gallery, 46 Eastcastle Street, London, W1W 8DX
Open until the 7th May, 10-5.30pm Monday – Friday and 12 – 5.30pm on Saturday
If shirts only occupy a place in your workwear wardrobe, this season we urge you to reconsider this simple – yet surprisingly versatile – staple. There’ll always be a special place in our hearts for the white work shirt that just works every time (excuse the pun), but right now shirts boast many more qualities than just being a solid choice for wearing beneath a suit.
2016 is the year that the shirt got less serious and more stylish. What does that mean for you? Well, chiefly it means that when it comes to shirts, you’ve got much more choice. There’s a catch though. Whereas you can rely on a white work shirt not to cause sartorial consternation, SS16′s crop of shirts can be a little more tricky to master.
Here are the five shirts you should stand up and take notice of and the savviest ways to wear them. We’ve got summer style buttoned up.
Sneakers, dress shoes or boots – we love shoes. But, no matter how many resolutions we make to keep them pristine, the reality of having them hit the pavement day in, day out means that they inevitably show signs of a life on the road.
Then there are the unexpected disasters to contend with (namely muddy puddles) which are cause enough for a micro meltdown.
No longer do you have to suffer the indignity of stained sneakers or lacklustre loafers – we’ve compiled a list of tips for making sure your shoes stay looking their best.
This season sees the most feminine colour in the spectrum – pink – shift into focus. Imagined in everything from soft petal shades to a deeper, dusky iteration, it takes on a wholly sophisticated guise that makes colour ever more approachable. Whether you’re confident enough to fully embrace the look or want to experiment by taking a subtle approach to the trend, we’ve compiled a look to suit.
Whether it’s in prep for an up-coming holiday or in pursuit of an altogether healthier lifestyle, there’s a certain energy in the air circa spring that comes with the urge to get fit. This time around, however, we look to the alternative classes, studios and pop-ups available in London that will mean you won’t have to step foot in a traditional gym to achieve your goals.
