Entomology proved to be a hive of inspiration for our London-based design team this season. Created from scratch in-house, the ‘Wings’ print features a realistic collage of anatomically correct beetles, dragonflies and butterflies, layered over both a rich navy and soft beige backdrop. Pieced together using archived vintage images and photographs, the pigments within the insects were manipulated to work with this season’s key colour stories and palettes.
It’s time to spread your sartorial wings. Our atelier-designed insect print unfolds in a span of stylish silhouettes.
Bringing an elevated level of creativity to the design process, some of the butterflies on the print were crafted using a montage of several species – creating a bespoke Reiss butterfly. Appealing on any silhouette, this enchanting motif takes flight in a feminine midi dress, playsuit, pleated skirt and blouse so you can take it confidently into any dress code.
The shades on each insect were carefully altered to mirror this season’s trending hues.
The print was crafted using a montage of vintage etchings, pieced together to create a collage.
The muted backdrop dilutes the impact of the pattern, allowing it to be worn in any setting.
