Taking inspiration from old rural photographs, freelance photographer, Shaun Cox, interprets the Reiss AW12 collection, with a beautiful blend of texture, colour and personality set against a timeless backdrop.
About the Shoot
Our latest Guest Stylist comes courtesy of freelance photographer, Shaun Cox. As with all our Guest Stylist shoots, the team is given free reign and creative control, using the Reiss collection to illustrate their story.
We caught up with Shaun to discover the inspiration behind the shoot…
We wanted a timeless location so that the models and clothes brought the angle to the story. Taking pieces from the collection and re-interpreting them with a younger more playful feel; by mixing strong tailored separates with statement pieces in an unexpected but casual way. We shot on film for this story; a lot of inspiration came from looking at old photographs of rural/traditional Devon, which had a personality to them, rather than nostalgia. Shooting on film really gave a quality which enhanced the story, giving beautiful texture and colour, bringing it all together.
