This week we bring you Guest Stylist courtesy of Mhairi Graham. Mhairi currently works as Fashion Coordinator at AnOther Magazine and was recently awarded runner-up in the Vogue Talent Contest 2011.
Here's what Mhairi had to say on the inspiration behind her shoot:
"Reiss is an eclectic brand that I have always admired and enjoyed — it takes the perfect balance of high end and high street, while retaining a consistent look that continues to grow and strengthen with each season.
James and I both loved and were inspired by the Reiss AW11 prints and use of transparent, fluid fabrics. We took these and exaggerated them using projection and paintwork, placing the clothing within their own surreal world of bold pattern and movement; theatrical choreography and dynamic colour, reigned in by the acute tailoring of the Reiss collection.
We contrasted the soft colours against primitive fur and leather pieces, creating a style that is essentially feminine with an edge - delicacy and print with a subtle nod towards masculine tailoring. — which perhaps summarises the modern Reiss girl as well."
