About the Shoot

In the run-up to party season, we asked six high-profile fashion bloggers to style their ultimate eveningwear ensemble from our AW14 collection; while also exclusively revealing their after-dark sartorial secrets. Having each made their names by documenting everyday outfits to the very last detail, we were keen to discover just how their eveningwear wardrobes shape up. From a high-impact cocktail dress, to a menswear-inspired tuxedo and a show-stopping gown, their chosen evening staples are refreshingly diverse and guaranteed to light up decadent, dark nights.

Using a handheld flash to mirror the paparazzi’s signature ‘under the spotlight’ aesthetic, each frame illuminates its subject, while subtly creating movement in the background. Set in London’s Hoxton Hotel – think monochrome tiled floors, exposed brick walls and soft lighting – the overall message of the shoot is clear: high-octane glamour is to be fully embraced when enjoying the twilight hours.
