Jack Purcell trainers have a near unrivalled status as one of menswear’s most beloved items, and rightfully so. Originally designed in 1935 as sporting shoe by the eponymous John Edward ‘Jack’ Purcell, over the decades the shoe has surpassed its original purpose to become loved just as much for its style as its practicality. Having graced the feet of sporting heroes, actors and musicians alike, the enduring popularity of the Jack Purcell shoe is testament to the style’s timeless appeal and versatility.
For spring/summer ‘14 the iconic trainers have arrived at Reiss and make the ideal complement to many of the collection’s pieces. To demonstrate this we tasked two key members of our menswear team with the challenge of styling each colourway – blue and white- into smart and off-duty ensembles during a day in London. Versatile and classic, as is evident from the above whichever way they’re worn Jack Purcell trainers are undeniably stylish.
