From watching Beyoncé run the world to browsing Erwin Blumenfield's distinctive photography; it's all going on in London this weekend. Here's our round up of what's hot in the capital as we welcome June.

The Sound of Change Live

This Saturday, CHIME FOR CHANGE is presenting a global concert to 'put girls' and women's issues on the world's stage.' We guess it doesn't take a genius to work out who could be behind this new female-empowering organisation! Not only is Beyoncé the artistic director and one of its co-founders; she is also taking the headline slot at this weekend's Sound of Change concert. She definitely does run the world!

Other acts confirmed to perform are Jessica Chastain, Zoe Saldana, Freida Pinto, James Franco, Blake Lively and Jada Pinkett Smith. The Queen of pop herself, Madge, is also rumored to play... Golden Circle and standing tickets have sold out, however there are still seating tickets available here. Don't miss out!

Blumenfeld Studio, Colour, New York, 1941 - 1960

Erwin Blumenfield was one of the most internationally recognised portrait and fashion photographers during the 1940s and 50s. The Berlin-born artist was hired by some of America's leading magazines, such as Vogue and Harper's Bazaar, to utilise his imaginative and utterly unique shots. This weekend, Somerset House will focus on the little-known history of Blumenfield's photography studio in New York, and will feature around 100 colour photographs and originals of his work in different fashion magazines.

If you feel like a dose of retro culture this weekend, head down to Somerset House for this unmissable exhibition. Entry is free and it runs until Sunday June 2nd. Find out more on Somerset House's official website.

Race for Life

And last but in no ways least, Race for Life will kick off on Saturday and run until June 21st. Held to raise money for Cancer Research UK, thousands of women will complete a 5 or 10k run in one of the biggest charity events in the country. If you haven't entered a race, you could still make a day of it by heading down to wave a flag and show your support. Plus, the sun looks like it will be coming out for us again, so head down with some friends and have a picnic.

Our Online Visual Merchandiser Lu Hough is 'Racing for Life' this Saturday, so if you can spare a few pounds please sponsor her here.
