WHAT TO DO IN LONDON FOR NYE

16.12.12

As another year draws to an end, it’s time to make plans for the most fun-filled night of the year. New Year’s Eve! If you’re planning to be in the capital to see the New Year in, there are some fantastic events taking place that you won’t want to miss. Here’s our round up.

Go with a Bang

Kick off 2013 with a night to remember by watching London’s official New Year firework display from The London Eye and barges along the Thames. You’ll of course want to get there early due to how busy the display gets and how limited good viewing spots are. Designated viewing areas along the Thames fill up around 9pm, so get down there promptly with your flask of mulled wine at the ready. If you don’t fancy the crowds, watch the spectacular display from the comfort of your living room; live on BBC One.

Party On

Here’s one for you ravers out there. If you want to dance your way into the New Year, producer-of-the-moment Four Tet will join a top line-up at one of London’s most iconic nightclubs, Fabric. Prepare for a 12-hour session of dance music ranging from minimal house to heavier techno – definitely not for the faint-hearted.
