ENERGISING ACAI BOWL

Using delicious acai powder in your morning smoothie will help to boost your energy. It’s packed with anti-oxidants to fight free radicals as well as vitamin C to help aid your immune system.

Ingredients:

1x tablespoon acai power

Half a banana

1x cup mixed frozen berries (strawberries, raspberries, blueberries)

1x cup plain unsweetened almond milk

50g vanilla protein powder

Instructions:

Simply blend and enjoy. Tip: Add in a scoop of greek yogurt for a creamier thicker twist.

ALKALISING GREEN JUICE

This alkalising juice will support your liver in its daily detox functions and aid digestion to achieve a flatter stomach. Added bonus: green juice is packed with nutrients and vitamins. Be sure to blend the vegetables whole to retain the fibre.

Ingredients:

2x cups raw spinach

1x cup chopped cucumber

Handful of parsley

1x baby ice gem lettuce

A few slices of ginger

Mint leaves

Instructions:

Blend all the ingredients with water and add in ice cubes for a cool refreshing drink. If the flavours of the greens are too much for you, simply add in more mint.

SKIN THERAPY: VANILLA NUT SMOOTHIE BOWL

Eat your way to glowing skin with this nutty smoothie bowl. Brazil nuts contain selenium, an ingredient that fights free radicals that can cause premature ageing. Almonds contain Vitamin E which is vital to support collagen production for a smooth, healthy complexion.

Ingredients:

2x cups almond milk

1x tablespoon greek or vanilla soya yogurt

Half a banana

Half a baby avocado

1x cup mixed raw almonds and brazil nuts

1x tablespoon hazelnuts

1x teaspoon vanilla essence

Instructions:

Simply blend all ingredients together until they form a thick mixture, then add ice.

PORTABLE PROTEIN BREAKFAST JAR

This breakfast jar is quick and easy to prepare so it’s perfect for popping in your handbag for portable breakfast on the run or post workout fuel. It’s the perfect blend of protein and carbohydrates and contains Lucuma – a superfood rich in iron that adds a creamy maple taste.

In a jar layer up the following ingredients

Bottom layer:

1x heaped teaspoon lucuma powder

1x cup almond milk

Half a baby avocado

1x scoop (50g) chocolate peanut protein powder

Middle layer:

Greek or soya yogurt

Top layer:

Plain oats topped with pumpkin seeds

Pomegranate is a super fruit with many health benefits. It is a brilliant source of anti-oxidants and vitamin C which help skin cells to defend against everyday pollutants. It also aids in lowering blood pressure and maintaining steady sugar levels.

Ingredients:

1x cup fresh raspberries

1x cup blackberries

1x whole ripe pomegranate

1x cup ice

A few sprigs of mint

Instructions:

Blend all ingredients together – the ice will provide enough liquid so there’s no need to add water.
