The Sharp Cut

In celebration of all things tailored this month, it's not just the suits that should be sharp - a dapper hair 'do has to match up and do its part for the overall look. We headed out east London way in search of a salon which catered to a gentelmen's follicle needs without uneccessary pomp or ceremony. Happily stumbling across Dalston's Blue Tit - an independent, boutique salon for men and women - we realised this was the place for a new season cut. The salon: Blue Tit, Dalston The questions: 1. How would you best describe your salon? Beardy - all the boys have facial hair. Aesthetics-wise, it's a blend of reclaimed wood, exposed brickwork and vintage leather armchairs in a living room atmosphere bursting with original features. 2. What’s the most popular men’s hair style this season? It's all about the 'zero fade' - which is short with classic shaved sides. And be sure to keep the beard growing. 3. Who’s your hair icon? David Bowie 4. What was the best decade for hair? Now is the best time to get a haircut. Every decade has its legendary style and today we are able to do and combine whatever we like. 5. What are your top tips for a dapper hair style? Use Davines organic hair products to keep it natural but in place and get it cut every 5 -6 weeks.
