Since travelling and photography are my two biggest passions, I took a year off before going to university in pursuit of these interests. The following locations and outfits are part of the adventure I'm currently experiencing.
Inspiration for the SS14 menswear collection primarily looked to the iconic leisure style of time gone by. So, this season we're asking some of our favourite menswear bloggers to interpret style for leisure time in various locations around the world. This instalment of Style Well Travelled follows Leon Theimer of Round Metal on his travels. For more Style Well Travelled read our previous entries featuring The Gentleman Blogger and Mr Boy.
Starting off with the first location, I'm still back in my native Germany. I've chosen the Ostbahnhof in Frankfurt which basically means "Eastern train station”.
It’s one of my favourite spots in Frankfurt since a part of it is not in use anymore. I really like the grungy atmosphere and therefore chose to go with a black leather jacket and some desert boots to complement. All in all, it’s a perfect place to sit down for a while and watch the trains go by.
Just one day later, the last day before I left Germany I ascended a mountain called Feldberg which is quite near to my hometown.
It’s my favourite destination for a motorcycle tour during the warmer seasons since it’s almost always above the clouds which means that you’re actually able to see the sun setting on the clouds.
A pair of desert boots and a warm sweater are essential for watching a sunset in the mountains. And don’t forget the hat, most of the body’s heat gets lost there!
