STYLE EDIT: LOUISE ROE

21.03.13

Louise Roe - TV Presenter, Fashion Journalist and our latest London Lives girl, knows a thing or two about fashion. With style icons hailing from the Seventies, an eye for bright colour and a penchant for signature Reiss pieces, we knew her Style Edit would be a vibrant affair. Here are the pieces Louise can’t wait to wear from our SS13 collection.

First up on Louise's hit list was our Maya leather jacket. Instantly homing in on it, it appealed to Lou's more casual side, without straying from her commitment to colour.

"I think the Maya red leather jacket is a really perfect way to do street style but with a twist and a bit of a punch. People will notice you in that jacket."

Going a little more high maintenance, Louise also raved about our Finlee coat (which went away to New York Fashion Week with her).

"The Finlee white coat is beautiful, there’s nothing more elegant than a white coat. Just pristine, it’s very elegant, simple and clean - you can really dress it up or down. Wear it with flats and skinny jeans or with a great evening dress underneath."

"I can't wait to wear a lot of bright leather, bright lace and really interesting textures and embellishments this spring," Louise told us before slipping into our Rachel dress and some seriously statement rose gold sandals - as if to demonstrate.

As a huge fan of prints and colour we knew Louise would like our signature lotus print.

"There’s a really beautiful floral print shirt called Josh. I love that and it’s got a matching printed skirt called Siusi.  I love wearing head-to-toe prints, so I’ll be definitely be wearing those."

Knowing what works on TV is important in Louise's line of work.

"Good little fitted shirts, peplum waists and cinched-in, high waisted skirts look good on television," says Louise stood in a simple tee and our Nia skirt.

"And I really like the Sara cream high waist trousers - those are amazing – very Katharine Hepburn," she continues.

And as Louise buckled-up our lime green Grazia shoes she imparted this final piece of style advice:

"Don’t be afraid to try colour on your nails, on your lips, on your shoe. If you’re a bit scared of a new trend you don’t have to do it head-to-toe."
