Loose, languid and with a touch of the barefooted imp, for ethereal summer style channel the carefree spirit of Bohemia. Although the end result should be one of effortless insouciance, much careful planning goes into achieving that just-so tousled glamour championed by boho chic's greatest proponents. For fabrics look to silk and chiffon, accessorising with jewels, feathers and fringing that's practically begging to be swished. Your silhouette meanwhile should eschew structure in favour of long, lean willowy lines.

Much of our SS14 campaign referenced the picture-perfect resort style of the bygone days of the Riviera, so it's safe to say that we're more than a little enamoured with the old-school elegance of leading ladies, starlets, models, muses and ingénues. What's not to love about a beachwear trend that embraces high waists, impossibly wide-brimmed floppy hats and kitsch-but-cool stripes and polka dots?

For those firmly wedded to high-octane glamour, a modern approach to dressing for the pool or beach provides ample opportunity to sizzle when the sun shines. This look boasts clean and crisp shapes, but favours acres of bronzed skin over reams of gauzy fabric. Heels with bikinis, fitted summer dresses with skyscraper sandals, and sharply sexy tailoring set the style precedent and are always the order of the day.
