Travelling in style is always at the forefront of the Reiss men’s design team's minds when devising Spring/Summer collections and a key question persists season after season: how does the modern man move from destination to destination while looking his fashionable best?

To answer that question this season Reiss drew upon the expertise of SteamLine Luggage, a brand whose hallmark is the seamless fusion of luxury and practicality. So, with the perfect partner in tow our design team began a journey of inspiration to devise a capsule luggage collection to meet the needs of men trying to retain style while exploring far and wide.

The team's very first concerns were of practicality and ensuring that the materials used for each case would withstand the inevitable rough and tumble of life on the go. It was here that SteamLine luggage’s time-cultivated experience in the production of desirable yet robust luggage was so invaluable.

Lovingly crafted by hand, both wheeled suitcases utilise materials with impeccable technical specifications. For lightweight yet sturdy construction, each case is built from vulcanised fibre board, recycled bonded leather, top grain leather, canvas, recycled Pasco wood, vegan leather and brushed metal hardwear.

With considerations of longevity comprehensively met, both Reiss and SteamLine endeavoured to provide maximum security and comfort. Approved by airport security the world around, TSA locks were the natural choice for each case’ top closure, while leather straps were selected for their ability to provide further safety and style.

Meanwhile, to ensure that the cases feel every bit as good to handle as they do to pack, lightweight extendable aluminium handles and silent trolley wheels round off the technical specifications list.

Our design team’s next challenge was to collaboratively devise a finish which felt contemporary. A product ageless enough to feel relevant year after year, and one in keeping with the iconic SteamLine Luggage aesthetic that has served men so well for generations.

In tonal black and chrome, the result fuses pared-back modernity with elegant masculinity, offering the fabled fusion of fashion, function and timeless good looks.

Both the Wayfarer and Gallivant suitcases are sure to make handsome and trusty companions wherever in the world your travels may lead you.
