SPOTTED: REISS TAKES NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

15.09.15

This week New York has kicked off a month of global fashion weeks in typically Instagram-worthy style, and while our loyalties may lie with London - mark this Friday in your diary - New York is teeming with fashion inspiration from sidewalk to sidewalk. In anticipation of London Fashion Week, we've been eagerly feasting on all of the emerging fashion in New York and haven't been a bit disappointed. We've spotted some of our favourite fashion influencers in Reiss both inside and outside the shows. It's official then - New York City loves Reiss. Read on to see who wore what.

THE OSLO TOP AND EFREN BOX CLUTCH BAG

as worn by @srhmikaela

UK-based fashion blogger Framboise Fashion was in good company for New York Fashion Week bringing along her squad of equally stylish friends to take on the streets outside the shows. And, what better sartorial companions than the Reiss Oslo top and Efren box clutch bag?

THE WAYLAND HIGH HEELS

as worn by @blank_itinerary

Flying in the face of concerns of the practicalities of racing across the city from show to show, vertiginous heels are a must fashion week's dedicated tastemakers. The Wayland cutout shoes have been one of this season's most in-demand footwear styles, and as evidenced by of Paola Alberdi of Blank Itinerary, it's not hard to see why. They're perfect for taking from pavement to party with no need for a switch.

THE LILLIA LEATHER JACKET

as worn by @catcherinthestyle

The perfect leather jacket should last from season to season and be a true investment buy. Demonstrating this unassailable fashion truth, Thania Peckof Catcher In The Style took her Lillia leather jacket from last season's Reiss collection along with her to view New York's latest collections. Buy smart, wear always.

THE MARLEY ANKLE BOOTS

as worn by @jessannkirby

Footwear photography has become a bonafide street style genre in its own right, so it's absolutely essential that every fashion week attendee chooses their shoes shrewdly. For Jess Ann Kirby of Prosecco and Plaid the Marley wooden heel ankle boots fit the bill perfectly, as downward-pointing lenses followed every footstep.

THE SAHARA BAG AND THE ALLEGRA STRAP SHOES

as worn by @michelletakeaim

Camera? Check. Water? Check. iPhone? Check. Attention-grabbing it-bag to house the aforementioned items in? Check. No fashion week outfit is complete without a bag (however impractical) to stylishly transport your fashion week survival kit. Michelle Madsen of Take Aim knows this only too well, but chose the sleek yet spacious Sahara black leather bag to carry her must-haves from show to show. What's more, the final addition of the Allegra strap shoes ensured that Michelle was expertly accessorised.

THE CHEYA SKIRT

as worn by @lisadengler

Marrying a girly shape with a distinctly tough edge, the leather skirt shows no signs of slowing as one of the season's wisest ways to wear leather. Spotted getting ready to head into New York Fashion Week's Lacoste show, Lisa Dengler of Just Another teamed the Cheya leather skirt with a laid-back knit for photographer-ready style which didn't take sides.

THE SABINE STRAPPY SANDALS

as worn by @louiseroe

TV presenter, fashion expert, author and long-time Reiss fan, Louise Roe, made sure that her feet were perfectly prepped for Rachel Zoe's latest New York showing. Her footwear of choice? The Sabine strappy suede sandals which ensured that Louise was the height of fashion.
