Who do you think has the best red carpet style?

Kate Bosworth and Diane Kruger. They both love experimenting and trying out daring silhouettes, new designers and a range of prints. They're exciting to watch.

What trends are you looking out for this season on the red carpet?

Cut-outs are still going strong and with the Oscars just around the corner it's likely to be a big trend. I predict we will see various appliqué and embellishment on dresses, from flowers to stones, taking away the need for much jewellery.

What’s your favourite red carpet moment?

Sometimes the simple gowns are the most jaw-dropping. I'll never forget interviewing Gwyneth Paltrow at the Oscars 3 or 4 years ago. She was wearing a full length white Tom Ford gown, complete with a cape. Being so tall and elegant, the whole look was breath-taking.

What are your top tips for getting red carpet ready?

Eat! It's a long day - I stand out there interviewing for around 5 hours and then go inside for more reporting so something small but filling is good. And I try to prep my skin the night before, exfoliating and applying a hydrating mask. Primer is a must underneath makeup, and I use a setting spray, to keep every product in place.

How do you work seasonal trends into red carpet looks?

It can be with a shoe or accessory as next to a timeless dress that really works. Or you can experiment with hair and makeup and bring trends into your look that way. It's best to choose one or the other as runway trends head-to-toe don't always translate well on the red carpet.

What has been your own favourite red carpet look?

This year at the Golden Globes I wore a gold Monique Lhuiller gown with a cut-out at the side and a clutch and heels by Jimmy Choo. The look just felt glamourous but also young and I loved it!

What’s your go-to beauty look?

For red carpet I love a brown smokey eye, contoured cheeks and a nude lip. Browns are warmer than blacks so I always line my eye with brown pencil rather than black. I apply MAC Strobe Cream to my cheekbones and brow bones before any foundation, it makes your skin glow – the difference is unbelievable.

How do you wind down the next day?

I have to be up at around 4am for the live morning show on Access Hollywood, so I have to be back in another dress and heels super early! But after that, I tend to nap, get a massage and wind down with a hot bath.

Who would you most like to quiz for their black tie style tips?

Monica Rose. She styles Kendall Jenner and Gigi Hadid. She's got a brilliant ability to strike the balance between classy and sexy.
