How does your day-to-night style differ?

Jeans and a T-shirt with a pair of heels or boots and red lipstick is an easy way to transition from day to night. I never like to look too done so will always keep my hair a bit messy. A rip in my jeans or wearing a man’s shirt will save me from being too dressy.

What are your failsafe staples from desk-to-dinner?

Cropped leather trousers, a silk shirt and pointy black boots take me from desk to dinner.

What are your after-dark beauty essentials?

Mac’s Lady Danger lipstick, L’Oreal Liquid Eyeliner and Elnett hair spray. I spray it on my finger tips to muss up my roots if it’s gone a bit flat throughout the day.

How best would you describe your signature style after hours?

My style after hours is a bit dishevelled, slightly androgynous and normally black.

Which city inspires your eveningwear choices most?

Parisian women’s nonplussed but pulled-together style is always inspiring and I think Scandi ladies  are always so covetable.

How would you dress up a classic LBD?

I’d probably dress a LBD down rather than up and keep it super simple. I’d pair a LBD with simple black mules, smoky eyes and a black leather biker jacket.

How would you spend your dream evening out?

My dream evening out would be spent with a group of best friends alongside cocktails, pizza, red wine and lots of laughs.

Which hotspots do you head to come cocktail hour?

I’m normally at a friend’s house, cooking for friends at mine or at the pub, but for something a bit more special I like The Experimental Cocktail Club, Zetter Town House and Purl.

How does your day-to-night style differ?

My day style is super casual, I really like a mom jean. In the evening my style is more glamorous, I like miniskirts, heels, and everything is very fitted. I tend to go all-out in the evening.

What are your failsafe staples from desk-to-dinner?

A red lipstick or a lip gloss! I would also put on some black eyeliner to make things a little more dramatic. Usually in my office I’ll have a pair of high strappy heels in the drawer.

What are your after-dark beauty essentials?

For a night out I need illuminator, or something that is iridescent that I can put on my cheek bones. Red lipstick or lip gloss, lashings and lashings of black eyeliner, mascara and falsies are a must for a night out.

How best would you describe your signature style after hours?

My style after dark is best described as sultry; I like glamorous looks in the evening, definitely.

Which city inspires your eveningwear choices most?

London inspires my style, because it’s cool, eccentric and honest - we’ve got a little bit of everything.

How would you dress up a classic LBD?

I’d dress up an LBD with heels (obviously). I think a nice gold or silver clutch would add a nice little pop to it.

How would you spend your dream evening out?

My ideal evening out would involve a good drink with friends and a really nice conversation with pizza at the end.

Where in the world do you recommend for a night out?

Singapore is ridiculous: there’s a place I used to go to called the Canal - it’s just really cool. In London, maybe the Grand in Clapham.

Sarah from Style on the Couch is a successful psychologist, using her fashion blog to document her penchant for fitness, healthy living and all-round well-being.

How does your day-to-night style differ?

I would typically gravitate towards a skirt or a dress for the evening; I like my evening outfit to be special. I prefer to do a whole outfit change, rather than just adapt it.

What are your failsafe staples from desk to dinner?

Obviously a pair of great heels is a must! I think we often forget it's not just about 'adding' - a smart tailored jacket at work can be removed to reveal a bustier top or dress for the evening.

What are your after dark beauty essentials?

I like to add false eyelashes for a transformative evening look and accompany these with a rich lip colour. I always spray on perfume.

How best would you describe your signature style after hours?

Minimal, but confident and inspired best describes my style after hours.

Which city inspires your eveningwear choices most?

I spent two years in New York, and I really felt that was a time that I fell in love with fashion all over again, so New York continues to inspire me.

How would you dress up a classic LBD?

This season to dress up an LBD I’d go for some sparkle, a metallic clutch, killer heels, and maybe a gold bracelet. I like to keep it simple, but glamorous too.

How would you spend your dream evening out?

My dream evening out would start with champagne, and then some sushi because that’s my favourite food. I love warm New York nights, so a rooftop bar on the Lower East Side would be the perfect destination for me.

Where in the world do you recommend for a night out?

There’s a fantastic club in Cambridge called the 12A club. The bartenders have such a knowledge of cocktails and will make yours based on which flavours you like.
