Break it up. A smart shirt in mint or lemon will look great paired with a pair of slim black jeans. Likewise, break up a pair of jeans or chinos in a chalky hue with a navy shirt or dark brown pair of boat boots.
Pastels have been growing more and more popular over the last few summers and personally, I couldn’t be happier. More refined than bold colours, pastels have a playful vibe that makes them perfect for taking a lighthearted approach to your look. So how exactly should a man introduce pastels into his wardrobe?
Fancy footwork. If you don’t fancy going all the way, footwear is a great way of introducing pastels to your look with subtlety. Suede brogue boots or slip-on loafers in rose or baby blue will add an eye-catching burst of colour to a darker outfit.
Go all out! Be confident and opt for a pastel suit to really break away from the crowd. Pastel colour blocking can be really effetive; I love wearing my pale purple shirt with my mint chinos on sunny days.
