Last season in London we saw lots of strong 90s trends for guys – from chunky CAT boots, oversized printed shirts and tapered washed-out denim - alongside immaculate tailoring by the likes of Hardy Aimes, Richard James and Reiss - of course - for which London is renowned.
It can’t have escaped your notice that tonight sees the launch of the first London Collections: Men; London's inaugural men’s fashion week (end). At Reiss HQ, we are looking forward to seeing what London’s finest have to offer, both on the catwalks, in the audience and on the streets. But what can we expect from LCM, London's inaugural showcase for menswear?
The most sought after tickets in town are for Thom Browne’s presentation on Saturday, where the innovative designer will show his SS ’13 collection in London for the first time, and also for the Tom Ford dinner on Friday night, where the designer is set to host the most exclusive party of the week.
Beginning tonight with a reception hosted by Prince Charles at St James’ Palace (The Prince of Wales playing host to LCM ambassador Tinie Tempah? Now that's something we're looking forward to seeing) LCM is based at London's Hospital Club and at the British Fashion Council's space at Somerset House. We'll be bringing you the freshest street and catwalk looks throughout the weekend, so check in with us as the weekend progresses.Picture of Prince Charles courtesy of LondonCollections.co.uk
