One for those on a 2016 health kick, popular Notting Hill restaurant, Redemption Bar, has recently opened a new location in Shoreditch. Expect to see vegan, sugar-free, and wheat-free food on the menu, accompanied by an alcohol-free bar. For those doing dry January, it’s the perfect way to beat the blues and might even encourage you to continue your detox as we move into February.

What: Italian-inspired pasta restaurant

Pasta lovers rejoice, for Borough Market is welcoming a new Italian-inspired restaurant into its midst. Padella, which has been created by the same duo as is behind North London’s Trullo,  is set to host a small selection of dishes, each of which is made fresh by hand on the day. And what’s more is that it won’t blow your budget. The concept states that Padella is about doing a handful of things very well, which results in high-quality food at a competitive price.

100 Wardour Street is a bar-meets-resturant-meets-club in the heart of Soho. What: Crazy Golf Pop-Up Goes Permenant

Where: Brown’s Building's, EC3A 4AF When: April 2016

2015’s most talked about pop-up, Swingers Crazy Golf, is back by popular demand, this time setting up permanent residency close to the Gherkin. The brand has upped its game for the launch, which is due to happen in April, and the venue features two 9-hole crazy golf courses, a two-storey clubhouse with a gin terrace and street food stalls. Use the app to track your scores and order food to the course itself.

What: Japanese style tapas

Where: Clerkenwell

When: March 2016

There’s no stopping chef Jason Atherton, who has recently opened Social Wine & Tapas in Marylebone, and is now already onto his next dining project. Launching in March, Sosharu is set to offer tapas-style Japanese food, minus the sushi. The name translated means socialising, so expect to find a buzzing atmosphere and the perfect evening destination.
