LONDON LIDOS

12.07.13

Tomorrow is set to be a scorcher in the capital with temperatures thought to reach a sweltering 30 degrees. So, surely on the hottest day of the year so far, every sun-starved Londoner worth their salt will be heading to one of the city's refreshing lidos to take a dip? We've ear-marked our favourite spots to cool down - just remember to get there early.

TOOTING BEC LIDO

The largest freshwater swimming pool in the UK, Tooting Bec Lido has been one of south London's best-loved treasures since it was built in 1906. Measuring up at whopping 90-metres long, this giant pool is lined with retro red, yellow and green changing room doors, has plenty of bathing space and a handy, but no-frills cafe.
