London Fashion Week is in full swing, and so are the city's snappiest dressers. What the editors, buyers, stylists and bloggers choose to wear has become almost as important as what the designers send down the catwalk. So a trip to Somerset House is the perfect opportunity to trend-watch. Here's what we love so far...

One of the first trends which struck us was the abundance of statement slacks.

Working as part of a colour pop or with a simple black/white combo, if you like the idea of a power trouser, try our Joanna-Kiv in a vibrant coral.

Trilby hats still have standout power this season, despite facing fierce competition from the beanie. Wear yours with a biker jacket and cool printed shirt, like this incredibly long-haired lady.

Denim dungarees have a tomboy* feel, but sexy strappy sandals instantly balance that uptown/downtown trend happening right now. (*Look out for our faded boyfriend jeans coming soon).

A stylish overcoat sets you apart from the crowd without screaming 'look at me'. These girls didn't need outlandish looks to get noticed.

Of course, there's always space for a little eccentricity and individualism - this is London afterall...

And, one of our favourite looks so far comes courtesy of this lovely lady. Putting us in mind of a wild child Drew Barrymore, this Seventies-by-way-of-the-Nineties look rocked the cobbles of Somerset House on fashion week's opening day.

Stay tuned for more LFW posts throughout the week.
