After launching her beautiful blog We The People, Jessie Bush has earned herself a huge global following, both for her innate sense of personal style and her contributions to Vogue's extensive photography archive. For Paris Fashion Week, she teamed up with us at Reiss to give a lesson in chic street style and talk us through her love for the week's spotlight city.

What are your top three Fashion Week essentials?

An iPhone battery pack (these are straight up life savers), a small cross-body bag - the perfect size for my daily essentials, and plenty of caffeine.

In three words, describe the atmosphere in Paris during Fashion Week.

Beautiful, chaotic and luxurious.

How do you go about planning your Fashion Week looks?

To be honest there is minimal planning involved. Generally I stick to a pretty neutral colour palette so most of my wardrobe is easy enough to mix and match. Beautiful shoes, plenty of denim and an oversized coat will go a long way!

What are your local hotspots?

Anywhere that does a flat white will always win me over! Plus I can’t go past brunch at Rose Bakery, breakfast at Claus and of course a little people watching at Cafe de Flore.

What is your must-have piece this season?

A well made suit; there’s nothing cooler than a girl in a beautifully tailored suit, slick flats and tousled hair.

What would you consider to be your ultimate fashion inspiration?

I’m not sure I have one source of inspiration when it comes to fashion; travel, Instagram (it’s true) and just people-watching on the street.

Which show are you most looking forward to and why?

Dior never fails to put on one incredibly decadent affair.

How do you like to wind down post fashion week rush?

Often my boyfriend and I take a little holiday after Fashion Month to disconnect and unwind. But since we have just moved to Paris the plan is to stay home, eat éclairs and learn French!
