To celebrate London Fashion Week, we've asked a few fashionable friends what they wear, love and look forward to during the fashion week period. First up is Jodie Kidd, who muses about walking McQueen's first show, welcoming new talent and chowing down on the delicious lobster roll at The Delaunay.

What can't you leave home without during LFW?

I always need a big bag, a pair of flats and also a charger!

What was your favourite ever fashion week show?

I always love Matthew Williamson, but my favourite show in a long time was Moschino in Milan last season.

What trend will you be trialling at fashion week?

This season I will be channelling the minimalist trend, I love wearing simple, chic, classic pieces.

Name your fantasy front row

Grace Jones, Cher and Prince - could you imagine all those characters in one room!

Which show are you most excited to see?

I love checking out the new young designers - this year I'd like to watch Fashion East as I hear Happy Ashley is definitely one to watch.

Tell us your favourite fashion week anecdote

I walked at Alexander McQueen's first fashion week show, 'The Birds'. My agency called and said I had to do the first show of this genius new guy. It was before his 'Highland Rape' collection, which was the controversial 1995 catwalk show which made McQueen's name. It was great to meet this mad, crazy person, and my god, those outfits! I opened his first show for Givenchy, I did the same for John Galliano. It was an amazing time for Britain and I was part of it, so now I always look out for new designers.

What's your favourite fashion week haunt?

The Delaunay is actually VERY handy for a quick pit stop as it's so close to Somerset House and serves delicious food - my favourite is the lobster roll, you must try it!
