FASHION NOTES: AW15 BLOGGER BEST BITS

23.12.15

As 2015 draws to a close and a new season as well as a new year is on the horizon, we look back on our AW15 collection and our favourite blogger styling shots. From Fashion Week to party season, New York to London, think of this as your hub of outfit inspiration for the last few weeks of winter.

The Fashion Guitar took her Clemi shearling coat to the mountainous Swiss landscape of Zermatt to shelter from the snow. Layered over jeans and winter boots, it works for day but translates equally as well to evening when draped over the shoulders of a silk shirt or a lace dress.

Peony Lim cut a sleek silhouette at Paris Fashion Week in her double-breasted Vale blazer. Teamed with the coordinating shorts, it’s a modern take on tailoring that’s polished and on-trend all at once. Follow her lead and wear it unbuttoned to keep the look relaxed.

Sarah Mikaela from Framboise Fashion kept things effortlessly chic in New York by tucking her silk Oslo top into relaxed denim. The pop of colour adds a statement twist to jeans and she teams it with heels and the Efren box bag to elevate the look.

Jacey from Damsel In Dior kept things polished and ladylike by tucking her silk Sera blouse into a flared skirt. Teamed with point-toe heels, this monochromatic look is city-ready and travels seamlessly from 9am to nightfall.

Lisa Dengler fronts our #OwnTheNight Instagram campaign in the lace Lillie dress. Teamed with burgundy heels and bare legs, the dusky pink hue is especially striking and creates a feminine all-round aesthetic that’s perfect for evening.

Chriselle Lim accessorised for Fashion Week with the luggage-inspired Efren box bag. Giving her printed dress a structured edge, this decorative design brings that little something extra to an understated look.

Isabella Thorsden gave a lesson in winter layering by piling shearling atop leather in tonal neutral hues. The smooth leather of the Lakyn biker jacket contradicts the Lexi gilet’s rich texture and creates a luxe sensibility.

To launch the Reiss Live coverage of Paris Fashion Week, Jessie Bush put together a guide to the city. Her minimalist look was perfectly suited to the transitional climes of September and put the focus on the wooden block heel of the Marley boots, proving that attention to detail can make a significant difference.

Prosecco and Plaid put a glamorous spin on evening styling by adding the forest-green Terri coat to her outerwear rotation. Teamed with lace, it’s the last word in luxury, so see this as your cue to take things up a notch for the end of party season.

Victoria from In The Frow put together an inspirational party season edit, featuring the Dillon jumpsuit for a tailored alternative to the go-to dress. Follow her lead and add a slash of red lipstick to offset the all-black ensemble.

Park and Cube played with proportion to create a striking look that reflected her personal style. By layering the Caitlin jacket over a floaty long-length top, she balanced fluidity and structure, and cuffed jeans added a touch of boyish charm.

Lella Victoria worked the season’s faux fur fascination into her everyday rotation by paring the Alberta gilet back to a simple white blouse, jeans and flats. A hat adds an especially stylish edge and makes for an approachable look that’s perfect for a day in the city.

Doina from The Golden Diamonds offered another spin on styling the season’s hero accessory. By fastening a black leather belt around the waist of her chunky knit, she highlighted the black leather Efren bag and pulled each element of the look together.

Mastering the season’s tone on tone styling is no easy feat, but Olivia from What Olivia Did mixed burgundy and dusky-pink separates which kept the look elegant and relevant for now. Clashing textures softened the impact, so mix faux-fur, leather and silk to re-create her outfit.

Continuing to channel her somewhat androgynous style for winter, Michelle from Take Aim wrapped up in a tailored Reiss coat. This kind of investment is timeless and versatile, working to add instant polish to any cold-weather look.
