On the first day of Paris Fashion Week I was wearing this flattering leather dress by one of my favourite London-based brands, Reiss. Luckily the weather was very nice and warm, so I didn't need anything else apart from my heels and accessories!
Camille: My Paris Fashion Week Diary02.10.14
We met front row favourite Camille at the very beginning of Paris Fashion Week, showcasing the style maven's love affair with this season's sugary sorbet shades, butter-soft leather and wide-leg trousers. Now, as PFW draws to a close, we share her exclusive round-up of the week's most memorable highlights. Read on to discover which trends to covet and the city's must-visit hotspots to take note of.
The famous Tuileries Gardens are one of the key spots during Fashion Week. I love to walk through the park rather than jumping into a cab, as it’s often quicker and allows me to explore both sides of the river. Many street-style photographers are usually around there to capture all the fashionistas in a beautiful setting. After Fashion Week Tuileries transforms itself back into a beautiful escape in the heart of the city.
I love to go backstage before a show opens to observe everybody getting ready and to feel that excitement just before the show starts. It's really fascinating to see how everything comes together: from the models getting their final make-up looks, to clothing rails getting organised and the designers making their last amendments. Many emotions come together during these particular moments which make it very special and once the show starts the magic happens!
One personal highlight for me was shadowing an interview with Sophie Albou-Mechaly, one of my favourite designers. She’s incredibly creative but also a great business woman. Her show was extraordinary - the collection was inspired by 70s glamour, a key trend for next season!
