BLOGGER BATTLE: RASPBERRY & ROUGE

14.03.13

Next up in this Friday's Blogger Battle is the gorgeous Rebecca Laurey, the blogger behind Raspberry & Rouge. Read on to find out all about her style, blog and inspiration.

Tell us a bit about yourself.

I’m Rebecca Laurey (25), the girl behind the blog Raspberry & Rouge - a personal style diary with a twenty-something voice where I capture my experiences in fashion, lifestyle and travelling. For me this is an outlet through which I can share daily tips and inspirations. I have worked in fashion and marketing in the past, making use of all that I've learnt and gone through when it comes to handling my style choices.

Explain your blog to us.

Reaching out to all style savvy girls and boys out there, I started this blog in 2011 to inspire and be inspired by like-minded people. And as it developed from primarily a hobby into a profession, Raspberry & Rouge covers anything from fashion to my wanderlust. Taking my readers all over the globe, accompanying my DJ boyfriend, I try to share everything that crosses my path (fashion and beyond).

Tell us about your personal style.

My personal style could be best described as casual chic with a twist. I always like to keep my looks accessible, but always with a little bit of edge.

Who is your biggest style icon and why?

I don't really have one style icon per se, I usually get my inspiration from street style blogs. Bloggers, editors or just "someone" showing character outfit-wise.

If you weren't a fashion blogger, what would your dream Plan B job be?

I have decided, a couple of years ago, to only do things that I like and not to look back or forward too much. As for now, I absolutely love what I do and would love to continue doing exactly this and more the coming few years. I've always had an increased amount of interest in fashion and traveling, so that combo really works for me. But that could be in any form I guess, as long as I don't really see my day job as a "job" I think I'm fine. My motto: do what you like and like what you do (and you will not work a day in your life).
