Signature prints are big news this season and cut through our SS13 collection bringing bold slices of colour. One sure to make an impression as we teeter on the fringes of a beautiful spring/summer season is our Lotus print. A firm favourite, and splashed across stores and online right now, we think it deserves a special mention, and an exploration into where it came from and why we love it.

Inspired by last year's David Hockney exhibition at the Royal Academy, the technicolour landscapes and unique approach to capturing nature struck a cord with our design team, who instantly felt this could shape their prints for SS13.

Lotus has the feel of a sketchy, abstract landscape which tricks the eye with its soft blurring against almost scratchy-looking moments. In a whirl of tomato red freshened up with splashes of apple green and sky blue, the colour juxtaposition feels refreshing as we move into SS13 with renewed enthusiasm after the dark of winter

Emblazoned in its entirety across our Josh shirt, Suisi skirt and Brio dress, we're wearing it top-to-toe (pair the shirt and skirt together), or broken up with black, white or red. It's all about blending colour, print and texture this season, so if you don't want to go all-out print-on-print, style it with bubble leather, luxe silk and shots of colour to soften the impact.
