3-My Secret Hong Kong

When our Senior Knitwear Designer, Jenny, isn't travelling to Hong Kong for work, she's visiting her friend who lives there. We asked the girl in the know to give us her top Hong Kong hot spots.

- TOP SHOPS LANE CRAWFORD - IFC Mall Podium 3, 8 Finance Street, Central A strong assortment from all the key ready-to-wear big names.  Beautifully merchandised and a great place to play ‘if I won a million pound!’ The Lane Crawford on Kowloon also has a great interior section, for if you happen to win two million.   JOYCE BEAUTY - G106 Gateway Arcade, Harbour City, Kowloon One stop shop for any beauty brand worth having, products from the likes of Aesop, Eve Lom, By Terry  all accompanied by knowledgeable sales assistants providing exceptional service.  Always happy to throw in plenty of samples from the latest brands for you to try out too. RESTAURANTS ISOLA Shop 3071-3075, 3/F, IFC, 8 Finance Street, Central District, Hong Kong, China Very good Italian restaurant.  It’s a little on the pricey side but worth it for the quality of the food and waterfront location. - - - THE PAWN- 62 Johnston Road  Central, Hong Kong Great place to go if you have a bigger party, essential to book though, as it gets very busy every night.  Make sure you request a table on the on balcony as inside is a little on the dark side dark and sometimes over-air-conditioned.  Great location. - - BETTY’S KITSCHEN- Shop 2075, Podium Level Two, ifc mall, 8 Finance Street, Central, Hong Kong By far my favourite place for brunch, and definitely the best cup of English breakfast on the island.  People actually take photographs of their food it is so charmingly presented. SIGHT SEEING The nightly Laser light display can be watched from Tsim Sha Tsui on Kowloon, it's no secret but the best place to watch it is from the bar in AQUA (1 peeking Road) which also serves great sushi and essential espresso martinis for when the jetlag kicks in. The light show starts at 8pm every evening so worth booking a table just before so you can settle down just in time. - - BIG BUDHA- If you have a spare sunny day in HKG I strongly recommend a visit here.  Perched high on the hills of Lantau Island, the Big Buddha Hong Kong statue is one of the city’s most impressive sights with stunning views, well worth the killer climb up the 268 steps.  Set on Lantau Island the most enjoyable way to reach the Big Buddha is via the Ngong Ping Cable Car from Tung Chung MTR station. The cable car offers outstanding views over Lantau Island. -
