Exceed every dress-code requirement courtesy of the looks to show off at this season’s parties and events.

Once again, the time for catch-ups and get-togethers every other evening is upon us. Yes, with October now a thing of the past and Christmas on the horizon, party season is in full swing. Whether you welcome the seasonal madness, or you quake at the thought of social commitment, it’s inevitable that at least one invite-only event will be looming in your diary.

The office soiree, depending on dress code, natch, is an opportunity to preen oneself and put forward the best version of you, from grooming to outfitting, that the average working day doesn’t allow for. While we can’t instruct on the former, we are well-versed on the latter, thanks in no small part to our Autumn/Winter occasionwear collection. Leave a lasting impression long after the lights come on courtesy of the party-ready looks to show off this holiday season…

THE SHOW - STOPPERS

For those wanting to be more peacock, the Christmas party is the prime opportunity to flex those style muscles. For the man wanting to champion something a little more flamboyant, a jacquard blazer ought to do the trick. Allow the jacket to do the talking and pair it with a slightly unbuttoned black shirt for that perfect finish.

“Parties are the nightly ritual of the sophisticated society.”
― Dominick Dunne

THE NEW BLACK TIE

While a classic black tux is, arguably, the best thing you’ll ever put on, why not acclimatise it to party season with a velvet jacket. It keeps things suitably sharp with a simple seasonal twist.

THE ALTERNATIVES

Eschew the party-season norms in favour of attire that’s a little less run-of-the-mill and a little more considered. There’s a certain je ne sais quoi about a suit that substitutes a shirt for a rollneck, or, say, one that’s swapped out the crisp-white-shirt-and-bow-tie combination for an unbuttoned, louche, printed option.

“Life's a party. Dress for it.”
― Audrey Hepburn
