Dress for this year’s intimate gatherings with a welcome dose of decadence and optimism

2020 has been the year of leisurewear; a way of dressing that catered for our home offices, downtime and quieter social lives. It’s a look, it has taught us about comfort, and it’s not going anywhere. We’re thankful to have had sensible fashion to navigate this year in.

That said, at Reiss dressing up is a way of life. And, as the year-end approaches, we felt an urge to go back to our roots, revisit our signatures through an optimistic lens and bring notes of unabashed glamour back into our lives.

Reiss muses aren’t known for being stay-at-home types. Bianca Jagger, Halston, Andy Warhol and other members of their pack are associated with dancefloors, long dinner tables and cocktail receptions alike – not with lounging at home.

Well, what did we know? Our team then gathered rare images of their petit-comité gatherings – some of them as petit as three people, in which they dressed to the nines as if the world were watching. And that’s how we want our customers to approach this year’s atypical party season.

Evenings will be different this year. Large parties are not in our calendars. We’re likely to enjoy intimate moments in the company of close ones.

Between our leisurewear and 1970s-inflected eveningwear, there are endless styling routes that encompass 2020’s most-needed feelings: optimism and comfort.

Embrace cloud-soft cashmere, jerseys, and soft layers, and then give them the high-glamour treatment with decadent renditions of our signatures.

Tailoring and blouses appear in metallic versions in our womenswear range, while menswear features velvet for maximum light reflection.

Monochrome looks with softened whites make a Reiss version of an optical statement.

Accessories with unapologetic touches of gold and sheen appear as good-luck charms, both reminding us of happy times and bringing good omen for next year.

Intimate Moments brings clothes and accessories designed and crafted for enduring appeal; suitable for all ways of celebrating.

Keep lights low. The moment is yours.
