02.02.17

We have scoured London's diary to find the best of what's on during the month of February

HOT COCKTAILS AT THE HOXTON, SHOREDITCH

If you thought the onslaught of winter cocktails was over by the 26th December then think again, because the Hoxton Hotel in Shoreditch is offering up mid-week winter warmers in its indoor garden area for three nights only. Between the 14th and 16th of February, Hot Juice will be serving up £5 cocktails. The menu ranges from alcoholic hot chocolates to brandy-based alternatives and Meat Liquor will be in attendance handing out stomach-lining snacks to compliment your drinks.

BOOK AN OVERNIGHT STAY AT THE AMPERSAND HOTEL

If you’re looking for a February getaway in the heart of the city, it’s Ampersand in South Kensington that tops our recommendation list for February. Perfectly positioned in amongst some of the best galleries, coffee shops and restaurants in the city, it’s the ideal location for those looking to make a weekend of it. Each element of the hotel’s interiors is bespoke in design, from the wallpaper to the decorative light display in the entrance hall, and everything is placed in a considered manner. The result is a luxe yet unpretentious stay in the midst of one of London’s most desirable districts.

A CULTURAL HIT AT THE DAVID HOCKNEY EXHIBITION, TATE BRITAIN

2017 marks British artist, David Hockney’s 80th birthday and the Tate Britain pays homage to his work with an unmissable exhibition spanning his sixty years of creativity. Running from 9th February – 29th May, it’s the artist’s most inclusive showcase to date and a true representation of his exploration of media. If you’re in need of a culture hit or simply want to escape February’s drop in climate, add this to your weekend to-do list.

A GIN-INFUSED DAY AT THE GIN FESTIVAL, TOBACCO DOCK

Back by popular demand, Tobacco Dock’s third Gin Festival is set to take place this month and we couldn’t be happier to see it return. With a focus on (you guessed it) gin, the festival is set to showcase over 100 different variations, some which last year’s revellers will recognise and some completely new additions. There’s also a jam-packed entertainment schedule spanning the weekend including talks from industry insiders for those who are interested in delving a little deeper into the facts and live music for those who are just there to have a good time.

DINNER AND CHAMPAGNE AT BOB BOB RICARD

Valentine’s treat or night out with friends, Bob Bob Ricard is arguably one of London’s most well-known destinations for a delicious dinner with a side of good times. It’s famed for pouring more champagne than any other restaurant in the UK, which is perhaps down to the blogger-approved ‘Push For Champagne’ buttons at each table. Plush interiors set the tone and the food menu spans a variety of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes, all overseen by in-house Executive Chef, Anna Haugh. If you’ve got an occasion to celebrate, there really is no better place.

A CHARITY SUPERBOWL PARTY, THE SOCIAL

This year’s American Superbowl is scheduled for Sunday the 5th February so if you’re looking for an excuse to party after a ‘dry January’ then there’s every reason to head to The Social in Fitzrovia. After 7 years of sold out events, this annual celebration is back by popular demand. Expect speciality sandwiches, pre-game music and of course, big screens showing the game live from the U.S. What’s more? Every penny made goes straight to charity, so there’s some good will in your celebrations as well.
