PARTY SEASON STYLING, THE BLOGGER EDIT

Lorna Luxe talks us through her top party picks for the season

When it comes to after-dark glamour, blogger and influencer Lorna Luxe knows how to strike the balance between sultry and subdued. We gave her three typically festive, dressed-up affairs and asked her to share her outfit picks for each.

Industry Party

This time of year is awash with after-work events or invites that see us rushing from whatever we’ve been up to in the day to something that requires a bit more effort in terms of outfit planning. This metallic dress is the perfect 18-hour piece. There’s something about a sparkly dress that makes me so happy – especially around Christmas. Versatile enough to team with loafers and a navy trench in the day but equally easy to sharpen up with a blazer for evening, this look is a capsule wardrobe mainstay for me.

Bottomless Brunch

I like to think that I’m fairly adventurous with my outfits, especially when it comes to dates with my girlfriends and I think it’s the perfect opportunity to embrace those feminine pieces that you might not otherwise wear. I tend to focus on texture and silhouette within my styling and this look is a great representation of that. I’ve tucked a sparkly top into soft leather shorts and added a faux-fur jacket for impact. For something a little less dressed-up, I would switch the jacket for a longline cardigan and wear ankle boots instead of this over-the-knee style.

New Year’s Eve

If there’s a single piece that epitomises New Year’s Eve style, it’s the long black dress. A flattering silhouette is key and this floor-length design is so impactful that it requires minimum fuss and minimum effort which I love. It’s the kind of piece that will work time and time again; just add red lipstick and champagne.
