Fashion Editors To Follow For NYFW Updates

06.02.18

The accounts to add to your feed for AW18 updates as they happen

Eva Chen, fashion editor at instagram

If there’s anyone you can trust for a lesson in Instagram curation then it’s Eva Chen, the Head of Fashion Partnerships at the aforementioned social media app itself. Perhaps not the biggest ‘peacock’ when it comes to putting together her own outfits, it’s simplistic, wearable (and perhaps most importantly, easy-to-recreate) outfit combinations that govern her grid. What’s more? There’s a witty personality behind this entrepreneur’s story feed and she keeps commentary light-hearted as she jets from show to show.

Stephanie Mark, Co-Founder of The Coveteur

Having delved into the wardrobes of some of the most iconic names in the industry, not just in the U.S. but globally, Stephanie Mark is arguably one of the most well-connected names in fashion. That said, it’s no surprise that her invite list come NYFW is one to be marveled. Often sitting alongside The Coveteur’s co-founder and photographer, Jake Rosenburg both overlooking the runway and at post-show celebrations, her Instagram account is one to follow for an insight into the going’s on as they happen.

Giovanna Battaglia, Fashion editor

If there’s one street style star that you’re sure to notice during Fashion Month then it’s Italian editor, stylist and creative director, Giovanna Battaglia. Starting her career as a model at the age of 17 and since working for some of the globe’s most prestigious fashion publications; L’Uomo Vogue, Vogue Paris, Vogue Germany and W Magazine to name a few, she’s certainly earned her place in that front row line-up. Battaglia is renowned for her vibrant approach to dressing – think explosive colour, conceptual cuts and accessories that look more like a work of art than they do a shoe or a bag – and she’s up there with the most photographed show attendees. One of the first of the fashion pack to place focus on the curation of her own Instagram account, expect not only stories from inside some of the most elite shows in the calendar but personal outfit posts that promise to remind you that fashion should be fun… even in winter.

Kat Collings, Editor in Chief at Who What Wear

Who What Wear is our daily fashion news fix and it’s run by Kat Collings in the U.S. who will undoubtedly be not just at the shows but the most fabulous of after parties come Fashion Week as well. An editor with her finger placed firmly on the pulse of this ever-changing industry and an inspiration not only regarding personal style but career aspirations as well, she describes her working week as being ‘an interesting balance between dressing professionally and dressing stylishly’. Stay tuned for a snapshot of life at the helm of digital fashion content as well as wearable outfit inspiration and hotel interiors to inspire your next city getaway.

Monica Ainley, Writer and Creative Consultant

Writer, creative consultant and one-part of the duo behind popular podcast Fashion No Filter, Monica Ainley is one of our favourite attendees to follow for insider information and behind-the-scenes footage. Posting video shot inside the showrooms and snippets of conversation with the designers themselves, her portrayal is about more than just pretty pictures. Never far from her partner in fashion/business crime, Camille Charrière, the duo’s sense of style complements one another and in short, makes for a fab Instagram post, whatever the city they’re residing in. Her specialty? Oversized outerwear and proof that accessories can really make a look.
