LC:M X THE SARTORIAL 7

07.01.14

Aficionados of all things menswear take note, to mark London Collections: Men AW14, we’ll be borrowing the expert eyes and ears of The Sartorial 7.

As the name suggests, this fashionable coterie contains seven of the most voguish gentlemen in London, all of whom have a penchant for things pertaining to menswear.

They’ll be taking over our Instagram and Twitter social channels on day two of LC:M (aptly, January 7th), sharing every stylish development along the way.

TERRY DONOVAN

Fashion PR Terry Donovan lays claim to being the founding member of the Sartorial 7, and has overseen the style collective’s ever increasing presence on the menswear scene. Sometime DJ, Terry’s talents don’t just lie within the fashion, though if his expertly executed ensembles are anything to go by, he’s perfectly placed to head up this fashionable union.

Terry wears: the Barber blazer, the Barber waistcoat, the Barber trousers, the Cutler tie and the Chaplin coat.

DAN ROOKWOOD

With an enviable CV which reads like a who’s who of some of the fashion industry’s most prestigious titles, columnist and stylist Dan Rookwood’s sartorial pedigree is hard to match. Previously documented as part of our London Lives feature, Mr Rookwood will take on a new role as Mr Porter’s US Editor in the coming year, where he’ll document all things stylish stateside.

Dan wears: the Chaplin coat, the Broderick trousers and the Broderick blazer.

NIGEL RUWENDE

Nigel Ruwende is an Editor at Individualism and a stylist, so naturally he’s more than a little familiar with all of the very latest developments in contemporary menswear. Whether in tailoring or streetwear, Nigel’s signature street style and editorial work will be familiar to those well-versed in menswear blogs.

Nigel wears: the Marquis blazer & trousers, the Cutler tie and the Culross shoes.

CRAIG LANDALE

As founder and Editor-in-Chief of MenswearStyle, Craig Landale’s finger is always on the pulse of all the latest menswear trends. No stranger to the world of blogging, Mr Landale is also a professional online marketer which, when coupled with his love of men’s fashion, makes him one of the leading figures in the emerging online menswear editorial landscape.

Craig wears: the Darwin coat, the Huxley shirt, the Bert trousers and the Sonoma blazer.

CHRIS BENNS

As a stylist and image consultant, Chris Benns is well-placed to impart advice on all things sartorial. His work has graced the pages of an impressively diverse range of publications, and he can lay claim to dressing a list of celebrity clients which is punctuated by celebrated A-list names.

Chris wears: the Riva suit, the Heston jumper, the Driver shirt and the Cutler tie.

PHIL GREEN

Phil Green is a Personal Shopper and Menswear Specialist at Farfetch, so his knowledge of men’s fashion and tailoring make him a natural choice for inclusion in the Sartorial 7. Mr Green’s impeccably selected outfits consistently display his particular knack for an ensemble’s finer details and are a tour-de-force in top-to-toe tailoring.

Phil wears: the Chaplin coat, the Sonoma blazer, the Huxley shirt and the Cutler tie.

JONATHAN DANIEL PRYCE

Not content with being a prolific street style and fashion photographer, Jonathan Daniel Pryce also runs his own blog GarconJon, and can count himself as a published photographer thanks to his much lauded  photography project book – 100 Beards, 100 Days. Though his trade may involve him being at the helm of a camera, as part of the Sartorial 7, Mr Pryce very rightly finds himself firmly in the lense’s gaze.

Jonathan wears: the Curzon coat, the Ivor jumper and the Astley shirt.
