A GENTLEMAN’S EVENING

19.09.14

Yesterday evening saw London’s tailoring aficionados hotfoot it down to our Vigo Street store, just a stone’s throw from the hallowed Savile Row.

To the soundtrack of an in-store DJ, guests were presented with our new tailoring fabrics for AW14. Drinks flowed freely, the most popular topic of conversation was naturally tailoring and hirsute members on the guest list were whipped into shape by some on hand grooming experts. Upping the stakes for those with a need for speed, guests were also offered the chance to win an Aston Martin experience.

Read on to see how the evening unfolded.

REISS CULTURE: MEETING MALEVICH

18.09.14

Fresh from showing the most popular exhibition in its history (a riotous exploration of cut outs from that master of modern art, Henri Matisse) the team at the Tate Modern offer up yet another blockbuster exhibition. This time the country’s most celebrated modern art venue plays host to an unprecedented assembly of work from the father of the Suprematist movement, Kazimir Malevich.

Inspired by the parallels between the master painter’s work and the thematic undercurrent of bold, abstract colour in our menswear and womenswear AW14 collections, we visited the exhibition in order to understand the formation of these movement-defining works.

Insider Eye: NYFW Street Style

10.09.14

It’s time to avert your gaze from NYFW’s fashion shows, as off-the-catwalk style steals the spotlight. In between sitting front row and going behind-the-scenes backstage, our street-style photographer captured this season’s strongest trends.

From purist palettes in graphic monochrome and pristine white, to sorbet shades and primary brights; colour plays a starring role this autumn. Tailoring, meanwhile, was decidedly relaxed and laid-back, providing the perfect backdrop to tactile flourishes, abstract prints and feminine florals.
