Guest Stylist: Jheanelle Feanny

Our latest Guest Stylist comes courtesy of Jheanelle Feanny, Assistant Fashion Stylist at i-D Magazine. As with all our Guest Stylist shoots, the stylist is given free reign and creative control, using the Reiss collection to illustrate their story.
We caught up with Jheanelle to discover the inspiration behind her shoot…
My inspiration was the sense of a British summer, and what young people do on a summer’s afternoon in London.
I united candy colour pastels with rich palettes to create retro-inspired shapes, delivering a clean aesthetic of the 1960′s glamour movement, but bringing it forward using chunky wedges and sorbet-toned accessories. I played on a soft grunge feel by clashing prints with pastels, projecting feminine playfulness.
Actors such as James Dean and Montgomery Cliff were the inspiration behind the menswear looks. Again, bringing the era ahead by combining deep chunky knits with pale tones to create a warm palette and a relaxed, youthful look.
