Best restaurant: Trattoria Da Armando e Christian on Corso Cristoforo Colombo, 10 is a Sardinian restaurant specialising in very casual home cooking such as the tagliatelle with salmon. Amazing!

Best Party: Marcelo Burlon’s Pink is Punk party held on Friday’s but will now be monthly with a new location. Opening party at Milan fashion week is THE place to be organised by Marcel the fashion party extraordinaire! Check out the website www. marceloburlonblog.com.

Best Bar: Cape Town on Via Vigevano is a cool and casual pub for trendy after work drinks and snacks. Packed every night!

Best New Hang Out: Ostellobello is a hostel and bar on via Medici which started as just a hostel and turned into a hot hang out with roof terrace. The hostel is cool and inexpensive and always full so book it fast!(www.ostellobello.com)

Best Bookshop: 10 Corso Como is famous for the clothing and accessories shop but the upstairs book shop has the most interesting book and music selection around.

Best Bakery: Princi hands down has the best bread ever! Weekends there are quite the scene! Luckily there is one in London now as well.

Best Vintage Shop: Cavalli e Nastri has a wonderful vintage selection from big designer names in clothing and accessories to interesting little bits, all very sophisticated and fun. Now there is even a men’s shop across the road! Not vintage but certainly worth a look is the 10 Corso Como Outlet (www.10corsocomo.com) which sells past season stock of designer clothes and accessories plus there is a gallery as well.
